Small fixes for the moments when a webpage fights back.

Most pages work immediately. A few app-like pages replace their content without reloading, use nested scroll areas, or block extension changes. Here is the plain-language guide.

Install or update

  1. Install the Chrome extension or load the unpacked extension during development.
  2. Open a normal webpage, not a Chrome internal page.
  3. Open the ReadTune side panel and turn Reading Focus on.
  4. Refresh the webpage after extension updates so the latest content script is running.

Nothing appears on a page

  • Make sure at least one Apply to type is active, usually Main text.
  • Refresh app-style pages after switching chats, docs, or routes.
  • Try enabling Links when headlines are actually link elements.
  • Chrome internal pages and the Chrome Web Store cannot be changed.

Wires or memory tools feel stale

  • Use a focus band for the most predictable scope.
  • Increase Wire reach when you want broader page connections.
  • Use Meaningful words for repeated terms; Ideas for topic-level relationships.
  • Turn off heavier tools on very large infinite-scroll pages if the page itself is sluggish.

Restore purchase

  • The Chrome Web Store build does not start checkout; it only restores an existing Pro entitlement.
  • Use the same email used for the ReadTune website purchase.
  • Square handles website card details; the extension stores only the account session and signed access status needed to restore Pro.
  • Use the Account page to manage access, or contact support for billing help.
